American singer-songwriter Kevin Morby recently released his highly anticipated album Sundowner, and now shares a new stand-alone single 'US Mail', alongside a performance video. Tender and heartfelt, the song is played on a mellotron that swells like gentle waves, beside a simple analogue drum machine, guided by Morby's sentimental lyrics. In Morby's words, the song is about “a mother communicating with her daughter via the USPS from within an inpatient rehab facility.” It’s “dedicated to mothers and their children—and all postal workers everywhere.” The artwork displayed here shows Kevin Morby's PO box number, he calls us to “write me a letter and continue sending mail to your loved ones to support the USPS.”. He continues: “It's service has been integral to my career and I have been passionate about both sending and receiving physical mail since I was a child. It is simply one of my favorite things.
